The author of this site has a background and professional qualifications in financial services in the United Kingdom.
This was followed by five years working as an International Investment Consultant in the Benelux, based in Brussels, Belgium. Experience with expatriates involving multi-jurisdictional tax and investment planning helped to hone financial understanding.
During this time, your author also wrote a monthly personal finance column for a weekly EU affairs political newspaper, owned by The Economist Group and called European Voice.
Now out of financial services, and reduced to the role of keen eyed investor and commentator, this blog is part of an effort to help educate wherever possible.
My basic belief is that there is no-one able to look after an individual’s finances without any bias or interest as well as that individual. The financial incentive to effective action is very strong!
However, for this to be possible, the individual needs unbiased and accurate information. This, in financial services, is not always easy to find. Hopefully, StockExchangeSecrets helps ever-so-slightly to redress that balance in favour of the individual.
